Sprouts Farmers Market Expanding to Clermont with New Store

Sprouts Farmers Market is set to open its ninth Orlando-area store in Clermont, marking its first location in Lake County. The specialty grocer will be the anchor tenant at Shoppes at Hammock Ridge, located on U.S. 27, just north of Cagan Crossings.

New Sprouts Location Taking Shape

The owner of Shoppes at Hammock Ridge has submitted applications for state environmental permits to develop the grocery store on Lot 14. This site is adjacent to the under-construction Staybridge Suites extended-stay hotel on Lot 15.

According to Nat Rassi of LCA Development and Realty, the project’s developer, Franklin Land Associates, has been under contract for the property for approximately three months. Franklin Land Associates, a Tennessee-based firm, is the parent company of GBT Realty Corp., which has developed ten Sprouts-anchored retail centers and is actively working on additional projects in Texas.

Boosting Retail Appeal in Clermont

Rassi emphasized that Sprouts’ presence will significantly enhance the appeal of Hammock Ridge Commons for other retailers. “We think that’s going to be a big draw out there, so we’re certainly keeping our ears to the ground to see what opportunities are out there,” he stated.

Currently, Sprouts operates seven locations in the greater Orlando area. The company is also preparing to open another 23,000-square-foot store at Poinciana Lakes Plaza in the second quarter of 2025.
