Osceola County is widening about 5.9 miles of Boggy Creek Road, from Simpson Road to Narcoossee Road, from two lanes to four in an $89.8 million project scheduled to finish at the end of 2026.

The county says the project adds an 8 to 10-foot multi-use path on the south side, a 6 to 8-foot sidewalk on the north side, drainage improvements and stormwater ponds, street lighting, Intelligent Transportation Systems upgrades and new signal work at Nele Road, Turnberry Boulevard and Narcoossee Road. AdventHealth says its Lake Nona hospital opens in December 2026, as a 10-story hospital that will have 295 beds when complete.

The hospital sits at 10999 Narcoossee Road. AdventHealth’s careers page says about 600 physicians, nurses, clinicians and support professionals will support it at opening, with services that include cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, cancer care and labor and delivery.
