Arizona-based Meritage Homes is moving forward with Phase 2 of Cagan Crossings East, filing plans for 322 townhomes under a new community called The Preserve at Cagan Island. Located just south of the booming U.S. 27 corridor in Clermont, this next phase builds on the 323 single-family homes from Phase 1, which began in 2022. The townhomes will be developed in four subphases and include infrastructure improvements like stormwater, sidewalks, utilities, and an extension of Cagan Ridge Boulevard. Civil engineering plans for the site were submitted by Poulos & Bennett.
