AdventHealth Orlando has announced the largest expansion in its history—a transformative $660 million investment into a new patient and surgical tower, marking a key milestone in a broader $1 billion long-term development plan.

State-of-the-Art Facilities to Meet Growing Needs

The 14-story tower, set to rise on the hospital’s Orlando campus just south of King Street, will house 440 inpatient beds, 24 state-of-the-art operating rooms, and comprehensive endoscopy and imaging services. This major project reflects AdventHealth’s commitment to meeting the evolving healthcare needs of Central Florida’s growing population.

“It’s been our mission for over a century to grow alongside the community we serve,” said Rob Deininger, CEO of AdventHealth Orlando. “This expansion is more than a building—it’s a promise to our patients and our region.”

Years in the planning, the new facility will offer cutting-edge medical technology and modern surgical platforms, while also expanding capacity across various specialties. It is projected to significantly enhance patient care access and improve health outcomes for residents across Central Florida.

Economic Impact and Job Creation

Fundraising is ongoing to ensure the full scope of the project, including the pool building renovation and beach volleyball courts, can be realized. Contributions to the project will not only enhance the local sports community but also promote safety and inclusiveness through free swim lessons for children.

Construction is underway, with the grand opening anticipated in 2030. Brasfield & Gorrie will serve as the general contractor, while HuntonBrady is leading the architectural design.
