Where Are the New White Castle Locations in Orlando?

Jamie Richardson, Vice President of White Castle, confirmed the expansion, stating, “We will be opening a new location in Clermont, Florida, as well as developing a site in Kissimmee—Olde Town.”
While details about the Clermont location remain undisclosed, development plans for the Kissimmee store have already been submitted. According to filings by Jamison Commercial, the 3,200-square-foot restaurant will feature a double drive-thru and will be located at the corner of West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and Holiday Trail, adjacent to Olde Town.

Additionally, plans submitted to Orange County outline a 5,000-square-foot White Castle near Epic Universe, Universal Orlando Resort’s upcoming theme park. The site is located on a 2.6-acre parcel at the northeastern corner of Universal Boulevard and McKenna Drive, next to the future Marriott-branded W Hotel, which will feature 400 hotel rooms, a 2,000-seat concert venue, and five bars and restaurants.

White Castle’s Growth in Florida

White Castle’s only current Florida location, a 4,567-square-foot restaurant at 11595 Daryl Carter Parkway, opened in 2021. This location quickly became White Castle’s top-performing store nationwide, selling approximately five million sliders in its first year. Due to its overwhelming success, the company also launched White Castle Crave & Go, an adjacent 1,800-square-foot pickup- and delivery-only outlet.

The planned Epic Universe location, if built as proposed, will become White Castle’s largest restaurant to date.
Richardson expressed excitement over the expansion, stating, “The love that Central Florida has shown for White Castle since we opened our Castle doors in 2021 has been profound. We’re very excited for the future cravings we’ll be able to satisfy.”

Fast-Tracking the Kissimmee Location

The permits for the Kissimmee store were filed right after Thanksgiving, with an accelerated approval process due to impending changes in Osceola County’s mobility fees. The county is set to implement the state’s highest mobility fees this May, increasing costs for fast-food restaurants with drive-thrus by over 1,000%. By securing permits before May, the developer stands to save nearly half a million dollars.
